I read your book Rachael and I was very much impressed at your honesty and bravery. What you came through should be an inspiration to others that nothing is impossible. I grew up in Ballymun and although I never got into drugs (but did experiment) I seen many I knew succome to the devistation they bring including death. Well done Rachael. Paul McDonald

im realy intrested in watching your sky news documentary from back in 2007 i tried everything even the above link and cant find it anywhere?? I really think a film should be made on your life your such a big inspiration to everyone and you deserve only the best. best wishes.
I loved your book. I'm an addict myself, and it was uplifting and extremely well written. I am trying to find the documentary from 2007, and I can't find it anywhere! I loved your story, and would love to be able to see the original documentary. My email is: rianapoe@ymail.com, if you, or anyone on this blog, knows where I could watch this please send me a link.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your sobriety, it's a life-long struggle. I hope to find the serenity and confidence in my recovery that you have.
I'm a 29-year-old mother of one, college student and drugs survivor from Ballymun in Dublin.
I started drinking aged 11 and by the time I was 14 heroin had taken its deadly hold.
In 2006 I went public about my drug addiction because I felt there was no other way of getting help. Sky News did a documentary about me and now I've a book coming out about my experiences.

ReplyDeleteІt's really very complex in this busy life to listen news on TV, thus I just use the web for that purpose, and get the most up-to-date information.
